Job summary

Family Dollar seeks an Assistant Store Manager in Conroe, TX to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with daily store activities, help organize merchandise, and ensure clean, well-stocked floors.

The role includes opening/closing duties, implementing policies, and supporting store associates in a fast-paced environment. The position emphasizes strong communication, teamwork, and exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical duties as needed.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Help organize merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Maintain store areas to company standards.
• Assist in ordering merchandise and loss prevention tasks.
• Supervise and develop Store Associates; ensure safe, respectful environment.
