Job summary

Dollar Tree in Michigan is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with daily store activities and ensure merchandise is well organized and properly displayed.

You will help train and supervise Store Associates, open and close the store, handle directives, and maintain a safe, friendly environment for customers and staff. This role requires strong communication and the ability to lift up to 55 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail or grocery environments preferred.
• Ability to read and explain operational directives and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day store activities and operations.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Move merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Follow corporate directives and maintain store display effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged items, payroll and scheduling, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure store assets including cash.
• Train and develop Store Associates; promote a safe, respectful environment.
• Keep store clean and presentable, including restrooms and common areas.
