Family Dollar in Canton, OH seeks an Assistant Store Manager to help run store operations, deliver excellent customer service, and lead team development. You will assist with daily tasks, help customers, and ensure the store remains clean and well-organized.

The role involves opening and closing procedures, merchandise handling, payroll and scheduling aspects, loss prevention, and maintaining promotional displays, with a focus on safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required; ability to read, interpret and explain directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions
• Help organize, transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed
• Maintain store areas to company standards including stockroom and sales floor
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping and loss prevention
• Supervise, train, and develop Store Associates
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment and professional interactions
