Job summary

Family Dollar in West Liberty, KY is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will help with daily tasks, merchandise organization, and maintaining displays while adhering to company policies.

Responsibilities include supervising staff, processing directives, and ensuring a safe, friendly shopping environment for customers and associates alike. This is a part-time position with emphasis on operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must possess strong customer service skills and communication abilities.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns they may have.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays and ensure store standards are met.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll scheduling, and cash handling.
• Ensure a clean, well-stocked store and secure assets including cash.
