Job summary

Fresh Thyme Market is seeking a Coordinator to lead day‑to‑day department operations, plan and direct staffing, and ensure excellent customer service in a fast‑paced grocery setting. You will manage ordering, receiving, stocking, and display to maximize profits while upholding food safety standards and department cleanliness.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma, 2–3 years of retail experience, and at least 1 year of management experience, with Serv Safe Certification being a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or its equivalent.
• 2-3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Previous experience in a natural foods industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in scheduling, staffing, and hiring to meet staffing needs.
• Promote succession planning and identify development needs.
• Support disciplinary actions and advise on discharge decisions.
• Achieve sales, labor and margin goals for the department.
• Model exceptional, fast and friendly customer service.
• Ensure pricing accuracy and food safety compliance.
• Train department team and ensure required training is completed.
• Maintain a safe work environment and reliable attendance.
