Job summary

Walmart is seeking a Store Leader in Edgewood, NM to guide and develop associates, drive store operations and customer service excellence, and manage budgeting and staffing. The role emphasizes training, feedback, and adherence to Walmart's OBW service model while delivering strong financial performance and community engagement.

The position involves supervising hourly associates, implementing action plans, and maintaining high ethical standards and a culture of belonging across the store.

Qualifications

• 2 years’ of college; OR 1 year’s retail experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience.
• Associates will be required to attend and successfully complete trainings (e.g. Academy trainings, Open Door trainings).
• Preferred: 5+ direct reports experience in supervision, mentoring and performance management.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop teams by teaching training and actively listening to associates, touring stores and providing feedback.
• Drive store operations and customer service using OBW, ensuring customer needs and issues are resolved.
• Manage PL budgeting, forecasting and expense control to meet sales/profit goals.
• Coordinate staffing, hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties and recognizing associates.
• Promote a culture of belonging and integrity; adhere to Open Door policy and Walmart values.
• Identify improvement opportunities and implement action plans to reduce shrink and improve processes.
