Job summary

Walmart is seeking a leadership-focused store operations leader in Anchorage. You will guide teams, train associates, and implement business solutions while upholding Walmart’s service standards.

Strong emphasis on customer experience and cost control supports store profitability. Role requires supervising and developing hourly staff, collaborating with stakeholders, and driving continuous improvements across merchandising and operations.

Qualifications

• 2 years of college; OR 1 year’s retail experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience; OR 2 years of general work experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience.
• For facilities that sell firearms, must complete a firearms‑specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training.
• For facilities that sell only ammunition with state specific requirements, may require a current state‑issued Certificate of Eligibility.
• Associates will be required to attend and successfully complete all job‑required trainings and assessments.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop teams by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates touring stores and providing feedback.
• Communicate and collaborate with all levels of associates regarding store operations, merchandising, and company direction.
• Model exceptional customer service, resolve customer issues, and drive action plans to improve process and performance.
