Job summary

DICK’S Sporting Goods in Rochester, NY is seeking a Team Captain of Operations to lead store performance across merchandising, pricing and signage on the sales floor, while supporting inventory, fulfillment and stockroom processes.

You will manage priorities, build a strong team, oversee scheduling and staff development, and ensure safety, policy compliance, and exceptional athlete experiences every day.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 1-3 years of experience.
• Previous retail/customer-facing experience required.
• Previous people leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding athlete experiences by anticipating athlete needs and providing clear, accurate, and knowledgeable information about products and assortment.
• Uphold company merchandising and presentation standards by following established floor sets, signage requirements, price changes, inventory presentation, replenishment standards, etc.
• Promote and lead company programs (i.e., customer loyalty program participation, warranty sales, private label credit card enrollment, etc.).
• Together with the SM and ASM, contribute to the development of 30-60-90 day plans to support business priorities for assigned department(s).
• Build and lead a strong, effective team that successfully delivers positive athlete experiences.
