Goodwill of the Finger Lakes stores welcome energetic individuals to join our team as Store Associate. You will assist customers and donors, sort and price merchandise, stock the sales floor, and operate the register to ensure smooth daily operations.

Success depends on friendly service, attention to detail, teamwork, and flexibility to work across donation, production, and merchandising areas in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred; retail or related experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to read and understand receipts, timecards, safety information, procedures, and policy manuals.
• Ability to communicate clearly with customers, donors, team members, supervisors, and employees.
• Open and flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Proficiency in basic math for cash transactions, pricing, and store duties.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and donors in a friendly manner within 10 seconds.
• Sort, process, price, tag, and stock merchandise.
• Assist with donation receiving and loading/unloading.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized store environment.
• Operate point-of-sale system and handle cash transactions accurately.
