Job summary

Broulim’s ACE Hardware is seeking a Store Director Assistant to support the Store Director in guiding daily operations, customer service, and policy implementation. You will help coordinate departments, lead staff, and contribute to achieving store objectives.

You will assist in monitoring performance metrics, training employees, and ensuring a safe, efficient shopping environment. This role offers growth within retail management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in retail management preferred.
• Knowledge of grocery industry practices is advantageous.
• Availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Director in overseeing daily store operations, including inventory management, employee scheduling, and customer service.
• Coordinate with department managers to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to company policies and procedures.
• Provide leadership and guidance to store employees, including training, coaching, and performance evaluation.
• Assist in developing and implementing strategies to drive sales and achieve financial targets.
• Monitor and analyze store performance metrics (sales trends, inventory levels, customer feedback) and recommend improvements.
• Resolve customer complaints and inquiries promptly, escalating issues when necessary.
• Conduct regular store inspections to ensure cleanliness, safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with vendors to maintain stock levels and negotiate pricing/terms.
• Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and reports for senior management review.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Store Director.
