Job summary

The Michaels Companies, a leading arts and crafts retailer, seeks a part-time Merchandise Manager to drive merchandising and store operations at Cedar Rapids. You will lead truck unloading, planogram updates, pricing, and in-store presentation to ensure a customer-ready environment.

You will partner with Store Manager, manage workload, execute promotions, and monitor inventory accuracy, backroom organization, and loss prevention.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift 25-50 pounds.
• Ability to work nights, weekends and early mornings.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in leading and managing adherence to SOPs and Company programs.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage and uphold service standards.
• Lead truck execution and ensure efficient merchandise flow to the sales floor.
• Own workload planning and daily task prioritization with store leadership.
• Execute Store-In-Stock Optimization routines to drive in-stock levels.
• Oversee Planogram execution and visual merchandising standards.
• Support a clean, organized store environment including backroom and sales floor.
• Manage inventory control, accuracy, and stock movement.
• Execute ad sets and ensure compliant promotional signage.
• Oversee Ship from Store fulfillment and RTV/ASN processes.
• Manage store damages procedures and shrink reduction.
• Train and develop team members through onboarding and coaching.
