Job summary

Michaels in Des Moines-West, IA seeks a Merchandise Manager to drive merchandising and operational execution. You will oversee truck processing, planograms, pricing, promotions, and visual standards to ensure a customer-ready store environment.

You will lead inventory routines, in-stock management, and daily task planning, while coaching team members and ensuring policy compliance. This role requires strong leadership in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager with SOPs and company programs compliance.
• Ensure adherence to policies, standards, and store conditions.
• Provide MOD coverage, maintain floor leadership and service standards.
• Lead truck execution, unloading, sorting, and flow of merchandise to sales floor.
• Own workload planning and daily task prioritization with store leadership.
• Execute SISO routines to drive in-stock levels and replenishment accuracy.
• Oversee Planogram (POG) execution and visual merchandising standards.
• Support a clean, organized store environment including stockroom and floor.
• Manage inventory control, pricing accuracy, and promotional signage.
• Oversee Ship from Store, RTVs and ASN receiving processes.
• Manage damages procedures and shrink reduction.
• Train and develop team members and maintain Asset Protection practices.
