Job summary

Ulta Beauty in Smithfield, RI is seeking a Merchandise Manager to lead store operations, boost sales, manage inventory, and ensure compliant, efficient store performance. This role reports to the Operations Manager and guides a team of Task Associates.

You will recruit and develop talent, schedule within budget, conduct product demonstrations, and uphold Ulta Beauty standards across performance, people, and process.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred; retail leadership experience a plus.
• 1-2+ years in fast-paced retail management or similar roles.
• Strong sales, payroll budgeting, and expense control experience.
• Leadership with merchandising, training, and development ability.

Responsibilities

• Lead store operations to meet sales, inventory, and compliance goals.
• Hire, develop, and retain a diverse, high-performing team.
• Schedule and manage payroll within budget; plan omni-channel tasks.
• Oversee shipment, replenishment, markdowns, and price changes.
• Provide guest service through product demos and coaching.
