Job summary

Staples, Inc. in the United States is hiring Merchandising & Inventory Supervisors to drive Sales Floor Merchandising and Signage Standards, Inventory Management, Back-Room Operations and Customer Service through coaching.

You will be collaborative and inclusive in helping our customers while being part of a fun, team-oriented retail culture. As a Supervisor, you will lead inventory controls, execute planograms, stock levels, and front-end duties when needed, while delivering outstanding service

Qualifications

• Flexible schedule based on store needs.
• Understanding of merchandising and retail operations.
• Experience managing and coaching a team.
• Ability to engage customers and understand their needs.
• Ability to multitask with limited supervision.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and climb ladders.
• Capable of working in a high-paced environment.
• Ability to handle conflicts professionally.
• Honesty and integrity in handling information.
• Key holder experience preferred (not required).

Responsibilities

• Maintain and execute accurate inventory controls (Zero Balance, RTV, Return to Warehouse, Cross Channel Returns, Reserve online pickup).
• Unload, sort, stock and maintain stock levels of products.
• Execute weekly planograms and seasonal merchandising changes.
• Deliver excellent customer service and engage customers with selling skills.
• Keep store neat and welcoming to customers.
• Perform front-end duties such as cashier, returns and online reservations.
• Provide store leadership when scheduled as the Manager on Duty.
• Be flexible to perform other duties as assigned.
