Job summary

The Michaels Companies Inc. is seeking a Merchandise Manager for PORTAGE, WI to drive merchandising and operational execution across truck processing, pricing, planograms, and visual standards.

You’ll lead workload planning, inventory routines, and store readiness to deliver strong sales and customer experience. You will train and develop associates, ensure SOP compliance, manage inventory accuracy, and oversee in-stock optimization, planogram execution, and timely ad set changes.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of retail leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead truck execution processes, ensuring timely unloading, accurate sorting, and efficient flow of merchandise to the sales floor.
• Own workload planning and daily task prioritization, partnering with store leadership to align staffing and execution to business needs.
• Oversee Planogram (POG) execution, ensuring merchandising sets are completed accurately and on schedule.
• Manage inventory control, ensuring product accuracy, integrity, and efficient stock movement.
• Train, coach, and develop team members through structured onboarding and ongoing skill-building across assigned departments.
• Partner in maintaining strong Asset Protection practices, reducing shrink through awareness, compliance, and safe operations.
