Job summary

The Michaels Companies Inc. in Tampa/Carrollwood, FL is seeking a Merchandise Manager to drive merchandising and operational execution including truck processing, inventory routines, planogram sets, and visual standards.

You will ensure accurate pricing, timely promotions, and a customer-ready store environment through strong workload planning and inventory management. This role requires open availability (early mornings, nights, weekends, overnights) and 3+ years of retail leadership.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in leading and managing adherence to SOPs and Company programs
• Ensure execution of Company policies and standards
• Provide Manager-on-Duty (MOD) coverage
• Lead truck execution processes and inventory flow to the sales floor
• Own workload planning and daily task prioritization
• Execute and maintain Store-In-Stock Optimization (SISO) routines
• Oversee Planogram (POG) execution
• Establish and maintain visual merchandising standards
• Support a clean, organized store environment including backroom and sales floor
• Manage inventory control including accuracy and stock movement
• Execute ad sets with compliant signage and product placement
• Complete price changes accurately and on time
• Oversee Ship from Store fulfillment
• Process RTVs and ASN receiving
• Manage store damages procedures
• Train, coach, and develop team members
• Partner in Asset Protection to reduce shrink
