Job summary

Responsibilities include recruiting, merchandising, inventory control, ordering, security, and financial integrity. Travel and nights may be required at some locations; the role emphasizes teamwork, compliance, and community service.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedures.
• Strong math skills including percentages and basics.
• Knowledge of cash handling, deposits, and cashier accountability.
• Experience using IBM cash registers and generating reports.
• Knowledge of inventory management and merchandising practices.
• Understanding of cash, safety controls and store policies.
• Experience recruiting, interviewing, and hiring with compliance.
• Good verbal and written communication.
• Interpersonal skills for team interaction.
• Attention to detail in store operations.
• Bilingual Spanish preferred at certain locations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in recruiting and staffing activities.
• Assist with merchandising: staging, stocking and pricing per store policy.
• Help manage inventory, damages, markdowns, scanning, and paperwork.
• Execute ordering to meet in-stock targets.
• Provide superior customer service leadership.
• Model company procedures and policies for staff.
• Participate in opening and closing store activities.
• Ensure safe deposit of company funds at the bank.
• Support cashier integrity and cash control practices.
• Help maintain clean, well-stocked stores and a safe environment.
• Operate store in the manager's absence.
• Review sales, labor, inventory turnover and expenses for trends.
• Complete all required paperwork on time.
