Job summary

Rent One is seeking a Manager in Training / Store Manager Trainee to join our fast-paced retail team in Missouri. You will rotate through on-site training and progressively take on store leadership responsibilities.

You will learn to recruit, coach, and develop staff, ensure excellent customer experiences, and drive store performance through smart scheduling, inventory control, and budget awareness. This role offers growth into a full Store Manager position with a competitive benefits package

Qualifications

2–4 years of supervisory or management experience in retail.
Previous rent-to-own or retail home furnishings experience is desirable, but not necessary (we train!).
Must comply with drug-free workplace program and pass pre-employment drug screen and background checks.

Responsibilities

Learn how to manage all aspects of daily store operations.
Protect employees and customers by providing a safe and clean store environment.
Ensure employee engagement and motivation while fostering a positive workplace and culture.
Maximize store performance through proper hiring, scheduling, training, and coaching.
Oversee management of store security, cash, financials, marketing initiatives, and reporting.
Oversee inventory control and ensure merchandise is clean, attractive, and organized.
Identify customer requirements to stay responsive to market demands.
Maintain the Rent One brand reputation within the community served.
