Job summary

Rent One, Inc. is seeking a Manager in Training / Store Manager Trainee to develop leadership skills through our on-site training program and hands-on store operations. You will learn how to recruit, coach, and develop employees while delivering best-in-class service to customers.

As you progress, you will guide daily store activities, manage performance, control operations, and drive sales growth with support from the corporate team, preparing you to assume a Store Manager role.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of supervisory or management experience in a retail environment.
• Previous rent-to-own or retail home furnishings experience is desirable but not required.

Responsibilities

• Learn how to manage all aspects of daily store operations.
• Ensure employee engagement and motivation while fostering a positive workplace and culture.
• Maximize store performance through hiring, scheduling, training, performance management.
• Oversee store security, cash handling, financials, marketing initiatives, and reporting.
• Oversee inventory control and maintain clean, attractive merchandise.
• Identify customer requirements to meet market demands.
• Maintain Rent One brand reputation in the community.
• Perform any other ad hoc tasks as needed.
