Job summary

Tractor Supply is seeking a Manager Trainee in the United States to learn the Store Manager role and develop leadership skills. You’ll gain hands-on experience in delivering Legendary Customer Service, building a high-performing team, and driving sales while managing inventory and store finances.

The program emphasizes team development, operational excellence, and community involvement, with opportunities for growth within Tractor Supply and Petsense locations.

Qualifications

• Retail experience or farming, ranching, pet/equine, or welding knowledge preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license.
• Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural-Science or Business preferred; other combinations considered.

Responsibilities

• Recruiting, hiring, developing, evaluating, disciplining, and retaining team members.
• Deliver Legendary Customer Service per GURA: Greet, uncover needs, recommend solutions, add value, thank the customer.
• Create a welcoming environment reflecting diversity, equity and inclusion across team members and customers.
• Plan daily activities to ensure efficient store operations.
• Lead team to deliver a Legendary shopping experience differentiating from competitors.
• Communicate processes and improve effectiveness with District/Regional Managers.
• Learn promotions, recognition, and empowerment to improve work environment.
• Manage sales and profit; monitor budgeting and inventory controls.
• Coordinate merchandise resets and implement company presentation standards.
