Town Pump, Inc. is seeking a motivated Store Manager Trainee to join our team in Billings, MT. You will train with the store manager and/or co-manager to learn all store operations and policies, and you may act as store manager in their absence.

The role covers daily bookwork, inventory, ordering, merchandising, and basic maintenance. You will help manage customer service, employee training, hiring, and disciplinary actions, while ensuring security of cash, fuel, and inventories.

Qualifications

• Willingness to learn store operations and Town Pump policies.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to supervise and set an example for co-workers.
• Valid Driver’s License with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Train with store manager to learn supervisory decisions and procedures.
• Understand controllable expenses, sales, margins, and promotions.
• Maintain professionalism, attitude, and teamwork in customer service and operations.
• Act as store manager during the manager’s absence when needed.
• Complete daily bookwork and input employee, inventory, and sales data.
• Order, inventory, merchandise, pricing, stocking, and rotation.
• Perform light store maintenance, banking deposits, and restroom cleaning.
• Hire, train, orient, discipline or terminate staff as needed.
• Maintain security of cash, fuel, inventories, and assets.
