Qualifications

• Store leadership potential and willingness to learn supervisory decision-making.
• Ability to manage customer service and teamwork in a convenience store setting.
• Basic clerical skills for daily recording of employee, inventory, and sales data.

Responsibilities

• train with store manager/co-manager to learn store operations and policies.
• understand controllable expenses, sales, margins, shrink, and promotions.
• set a professional example for coworkers in customer service and operations.
• act as store manager during manager absence when needed.
• complete daily bookwork recording employee info, inventory, and sales.
• order, inventory, invoice, price, stock, display, and rotate merchandise.
• perform basic store maintenance, deposits, and light cleaning.
• recruit, train, and orient new employees; discipline as needed.
• maintain security of assets including cash, fuel, inventories, and labor hours.
• maintain a valid Driver's License and handle other duties.
