Job summary

This role focuses on developing internal candidates for the Store Manager position, supporting compliance, cash controls, and store safety while operating in the store during the manager's absence.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as diagrams and procedures manuals.
• Strong mathematical skills including percentages and basic calculations.
• Familiarity with cash handling procedures and deposit controls.
• Experience with IBM cash register functions and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Assist in recruiting and staffing activities.
• Assist with store merchandising and proper pricing.
• Support inventory management and conduct inventories.
• Follow ordering practices to meet in-stock targets.
• Provide superior customer service leadership.
• Follow company procedures and bring store into compliance with policies.
• Participate in opening and closing activities.
• Ensure security of cash and proper cash controls.
• Maintain a clean, safe store environment.
• Operate store in the manager's absence.
• Review operating statements for trends and opportunities.
• Complete paperwork and documentation on time.
