Job summary

ALDI is seeking an energetic Full-Time Store Manager Trainee who will develop the skills to run a store. You’ll lead daily operations, coach associates and uphold standards while working hands-on in a fast-paced retail environment.

The program emphasizes leadership, customer service and operational excellence, with a starting hourly wage of $31.75 and a projected first-year earnings range of $94,000–$114,000 (salary plus bonus when applicable). Travel within the division may be required.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old.
• Highschool diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior retail management experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Communicates job responsibilities and performance expectations to direct reports; leads and develops store personnel.
• Develops action plans using company resources to improve operating results.
• Oversees resolution of employee and customer concerns, in collaboration with the district manager.
• Interviews candidates for store positions and provides recommendations to the district manager.
• Manages personnel, including advancement and termination decisions as appropriate.
• Communicates and collaborates with ALDI personnel, customers, vendors and partners.
• Leads and supervises the team to develop sales and achieve high performance.
• Ensures compliance with store policies, procedures and regulations.
• Trains and develops store personnel to realize their potential.
• Prepares and revises weekly schedules to ensure accuracy.
• Ensures adherence to expense and inventory procedures; maintains store standards.
• Plans and conducts store meetings and training sessions.
