Job summary

The Salvation Army Southern California is seeking an enthusiastic Store Manager for our Blackstone Thrift Store location in Fresno. You will plan and direct day-to-day operations, drive sales, manage staff, and maintain excellent donor and customer service.

The role requires at least 2 years of retail management, strong cash handling, and a valid driver’s license. We offer benefits, career growth, and a supportive team in a faith-based community program.

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of Retail Management/Supervisory experience.
• Ability to accurately handle POS/Cash Register operations and cash transactions.
• Must hold a valid Driver’s license and proof of insurance.
• Pass background check including Criminal History and Sex Offender Registry.
• Ability to communicate effectively with management, staff, customers and donors.

Responsibilities

• Plan and direct the day-to-day operations of the store location.
• Develop strategies to improve customer service, drive sales and profitability.
• Ensure customer/donor needs are met with good relationships; resolve complaints; provide quick service.
• Schedule staff to ensure adequate coverage and conduct daily/shift meetings.
• Supervise staff to ensure policy adherence and performance.
• Interview and hire new store employees; provide training on policies and procedures.
• Issue disciplinary warnings and manage employee evaluations and goals.
• Maintain inventory levels and ensure proper cash handling and reporting.
• Attend monthly district meetings and store team meetings to communicate policies.
• Implement loss prevention measures and perform other duties as assigned.
