The Salvation Army USA Western Territory is hiring a Store Manager in Whittier, CA. This role leads day-to-day store operations, drives sales, and ensures excellent donor and customer service.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years of Retail Management/Supervisory experience.
• Ability to handle POS/Cash Register operations and cash transactions.
• Valid Driver's license and proof of insurance.
• Must pass background check including Criminal History and Sex Offender Registry.
• Strong communication with management, staff, customers and donors.

Responsibilities

• Plan and direct day-to-day operations of the store location.
• Develop strategies to improve service, drive sales and profitability.
• Maintain Customer/Donor relations and resolve complaints quickly.
• Schedule employees and coordinate daily team meetings.
• Supervise staff to ensure compliance with directives and guidelines.
• Handle hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
• Maintain inventory and timely Rag Out from sales floor.
• Ensure cash handling accuracy and safeguarding cash receipts.
• Lead loss prevention measures and weekly store meetings.
