Job summary

Circle K in Battle Creek, MI is hiring a Store Manager to lead daily store operations and drive sales. You will recruit, train and supervise staff, ensure excellent customer service, and maintain store standards for appearance and inventory.

The role requires strong leadership, scheduling, and safety compliance, with a focus on accurate reporting and financial oversight. We value experience in retail, the ability to communicate effectively in English, and a valid driver's license for meetings

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in retail sales preferred.
• Experience to perform the essential duties, responsibilities and working in the conditions described below.
• Ability to supervise and train for CSR/ASM duties listed in job description.
• Ability to supervise and manage CSR/ASM functions.
• Proficient computer use including reports, inventory, cash control and notices.
• Valid driver’s license and transportation to meetings.
• Ability to communicate (oral and written) in English.
• Perform other duties as assigned or delegated by supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire and train employees to ensure excellent customer service.
• Develop, manage and assign tasks to keep the site clean, stocked and well-kept.
• Maintain a professional image among staff and supervisors.
• Schedule employees within guidelines to maximize service and image.
• Apply non-discriminatory management practices during hiring, training, counseling and separation.
• Develop positive supplier relationships and resolve customer complaints promptly.
• Promote safe public image within the community.
• Prepare performance appraisals and provide constructive feedback.
• Train employees on customer service, site standards and safety procedures.
• Ensure timely communication to all site staff and Market Manager.
• Organize site files, manage reports and ensure inventory accuracy.
• Oversee merchandising, pricing and display standards.
• Maintain required employment posters and notices.
