Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a Store Manager to direct all store processes, including ordering, receiving, stocking, presentation, selling, staffing and support. You will recruit and train staff, set performance expectations, monitor inventory and sales, and ensure daily opening and closing of the store.

The role requires strong leadership, cash handling knowledge, and the ability to maintain merchandising standards while delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• One year of management experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and inventory management.

Responsibilities

• Recruits, selects, and retains qualified employees and ensures store staffing.
• Provides training, conducts performance evaluations, and counsels as needed.
• Oversees cash handling, pricing, and cashier accountability to protect assets.
• Leads customer service initiatives and enforces safety and store policies.
• Manages opening/closing procedures and store operations daily.
• Monitors sales, expenses, and inventory to identify trends and opportunities.
• Orders and reviews stock levels, manages replenishment and cycle counts.
• Maintains merchandising standards and accurate pricing/display.
