Job summary

Trunk Space Storage in Mesquite, TX is seeking an experienced Store Manager to oversee daily operations of our self-storage facility. You will drive occupancy, supervise staff, and ensure top customer service across in-person, online and phone interactions.

Responsibilities include leasing, payments, delinquency management, facility upkeep, coordinating security and marketing, and leading a small team. High school diploma and 2+ years of supervisory customer service are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; higher education preferred.
• 2+ years experience in customer service with supervisory responsibilities.
• Knowledge of the self-storage industry.
• Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Computer proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, basic Excel, Teams).
• Office open to customers on weekends; ability to work some Saturdays and Sundays.
• Physical ability to move and restock merchandise inventory up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations, ensuring efficient facility performance.
• Deliver exceptional customer service (online, over-the-phone, in-person), building strong tenant relationships.
• Oversee leasing, payment processing, and delinquency management.
• Maintain facility cleanliness and security through regular inspections and light cleaning.
• Implement marketing strategies to enhance occupancy and revenue.
• Conduct administrative tasks, including completing leases, auditing inventory, and providing documentation needed for the store.
• Lead and develop the team, promoting a positive work environment.
• Sell storage-related merchandise and ensure adequate inventory (e.g., locks, boxes).
