Job summary

Good Foods Grocery is seeking a Manager on Duty to oversee store operations during assigned shifts, including opening, mid-day, and closing. You will ensure a clean, organized environment, support and direct staff, and serve as the on-site manager with strong leadership and judgment.

Responsibilities include enforcing company policies, maintaining safety, supervising team performance, managing cash handling, and delivering exceptional customer service while fostering a positive work culture.

Qualifications

  • Previous retail or grocery experience preferred.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Cash handling and reconciliation experience.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and multitasking.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and stand for extended periods.
  • Dependable and punctual, with flexibility to work various shifts.
  • Ability to read at 20/20 vision, natural or corrected, to read detailed labels and POS instructions.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee store operations during assigned shifts including opening, mid-day, and closing.
  • Lead staff, provide on-the-spot coaching, and ensure safety procedures.
  • Maintain store cleanliness, security, and product presentation.
  • Address customer concerns promptly and deliver exceptional service.
  • Ensure cash handling accuracy and complete shift reports.
