Job summary

The Salvation Army Thrift Store in Milwaukee, WI is seeking an experienced Store Manager to lead daily operations, supervise staff, drive sales, and support our mission-driven programs.

You will oversee donation processing, pricing, customer service, banking, and reporting, while ensuring a safe, compliant, and welcoming shopping environment. The role requires proven retail management experience and a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• 2 years' experience in staff management and development or combination of education and experience
• Proven retail management experience
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays

Responsibilities

• Recruit, train, and supervise store staff
• Develop scheduling and payroll processes
• Oversee donation, pricing, presentation and sales strategies
• Oversee cash handling procedures and daily deposits within budget
• Maintain open communication with Regional Manager and Department Heads and provide daily reports
• Recruit, interview and supervise store staff in collaboration with Regional Manager
