Job summary

The Salvation Army is seeking a Store Manager to lead one of its retail locations in Mundelein. You will supervise staff, drive sales, ensure store appearance, manage donations and pricing, and uphold safety and compliance while delivering excellent customer service in support of our mission.

Responsibilities include recruiting and training staff, scheduling and payroll, reporting results to leadership, managing budgets and inventory, and maintaining a positive, community-focused shopping

Qualifications

• 2 years' experience in staff management and development.
• Proven retail management experience.
• Excellent customer service orientation.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Lead store staff, recruit, train and supervise employees.
• Oversee scheduling and payroll processing; implement policies.
• Drive sales, manage donations, pricing, presentation and store upkeep.
• Oversee cash handling, budgeting and inventory tracking; ensure safety compliance.
• Provide daily reports to Regional Manager and Department Heads; address customer concerns.
