Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Ability to operate a cash register and handle monetary transactions.
• Knowledge of general office equipment (telephone, copier, fax, calculator).
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and be dependable.
• Must have an acceptable criminal history and driving record.

Responsibilities

• Maintain excellent customer relations by providing prompt, courteous service.
• Operate the cash register, ring sales, process payments, and handle credits.
• Organize merchandise, stock supplies, and maintain adequate inventory.
• Price items, label, and return items to the warehouse as needed.
• Answer telephone inquiries and ensure proper store coverage at all times.
• Keep the store presentable and report safety hazards or accidents.
