Job summary

The Container Store Inc. in Northbrook, IL, seeks a Store Manager who will lead daily store execution with strong people leadership, operational excellence, and a focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences.

This is a full-time, salaried, exempt position. You will partner with the General Manager to translate priorities into action, coach and develop employees, manage staffing and payroll, and ensure compliant, safe store operations while driving sales and presenting the store to brand

Qualifications

3-5 years of retail leadership experience in a fast-paced environment.
Proven ability to coach and develop teams and drive performance.
Strong focus on customer experience and brand standards.
Excellent communication and collaboration across levels of the organization.
Comfort with store operations, scheduling, and data-driven decision making.

Responsibilities

Executes the store's business strategy by leading day-to-day operations and aligning efforts to drive sales, customer experience, and operational excellence.
Coaches and develops the team to deliver exceptional service and performance.
Manages staffing, payroll reporting, and scheduling in line with business priorities.
Maintains store presentation, merchandising standards, safety, and compliance.
Leads recruitment, onboarding, and training of new employees and supports career development.
