Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Store Manager in Williamstown, WV to lead daily store operations, staff, and customer service initiatives. The role includes recruiting, coaching, inventory control and ensuring financial integrity of the store.

The candidate will oversee opening/closing procedures, supervise performance, and implement company policies to maintain a safe, clean and compliant retail environment. Prior retail management experience is preferred.

Qualifications

Recruit, select and retain qualified employees according to federal and state labor laws and company policies.
Provide proper training for employees; conduct performance evaluations; identify gaps for solutions and counseling, up to termination.
Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposit control.
Knowledge of inventory management and merchandising practices.

Responsibilities

Lead store staffing, scheduling, and daily operations to meet targets.
Open and close the store as required and ensure security procedures are followed.
Monitor sales performance, frame plans to improve profitability and reduce shrink.
Ensure correct stock levels and presentation of merchandise according to guidelines.
