Qualifications

• Knowledge of cash handling and deposit control procedures; proficient with IBM cash registers.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees according to laws and company policies; ensure store is properly staffed.
• Provide training and evaluations; identify gaps for coaching or termination as needed.
• Make recommendations on pay rates and advancement.
• Communicate performance, conduct, and safety expectations; coordinate safety and policy meetings.
• Ensure store is properly staffed and opened/closed each day.
• Evaluate operating statements for trends, sales, profitability and turn.
• Order and manage stock to meet in-stock targets weekly; handle BSR/cycle counts.
• Maintain clean, well-organized store with proper merchandising and signage.
• Maintain cash accountability and security; ensure proper key control and safety practices.
• Provide strong customer service leadership and a safe shopping environment.
