Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Store Manager in Morgantown, PA to lead day-to-day store operations, drive sales, and uphold company standards. You will oversee staffing, training, performance reviews, and adherence to policies while maintaining a safe, customer-focused environment.

You will manage ordering, receiving, stocking, merchandising, and inventory controls, ensure accurate cash handling, and open/close duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of management experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposit control.
• Knowledge of inventory management and merchandising practices.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Bilingual Spanish speakers may be preferred in some locations.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees and ensure staffing.
• Provide training, conduct performance evaluations, and counseling as needed.
• Make recommendations regarding employee pay rate and advancement.
• Communicate performance, conduct and safety expectations; conduct meetings and training.
• Open and close the store as required and ensure proper staffing and operations.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

One year of management experience in a retail environment

Ability to recruit, interview, hire, counsel and terminate per policy

Knowledge of cash handling procedures

Knowledge of inventory management and merchandising

Effective oral and written communication

Bilingual Spanish speakers preferred
