Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a store manager to lead all store operations in a fast-paced retail environment. You will supervise staff, plan and implement store processes, manage ordering, receiving, stocking, pricing, and presentation, and drive sales while ensuring compliance with policies.

You will recruit and train employees, conduct performance evaluations, monitor safety, security, and customer service standards, and open/close the store with consistency and accountability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of management experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Ability to recruit, hire, train and supervise staff while maintaining compliance with policies.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees according to laws and company policies; ensure store is properly staffed.
• Provide training, conduct evaluations, identify gaps and counsel staff as needed.
• Make recommendations on pay rate and advancement.
• Communicate performance, conduct, and safety expectations; coordinate meetings and events.
• Open and close the store as required to ensure operations.
