Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as diagrams, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals.

Responsibilities

• Recruits, selects, and retains qualified employees according to federal and state labor laws and Company policies; ensure store is properly staffed.
• Provides proper training for employees; conducts performance evaluations; identifies gaps for appropriate solutions and/or counseling, up to and including termination.
• Makes recommendations regarding employee pay rate and advancement.
• Communicates performance, conduct and safety expectations regularly; coordinates meetings and events to encourage safety, security and policies.
• Ensures that the store is appropriately staffed and effectively opened and closed each day.
• Evaluates operating statements to identify business trends (sales, profitability, and turn), expense control opportunities, potential shrink, and errors.
• Reviews ordering plan and inventory management issues; follows up on BSR/cycle counts.
• Facilitates stocking and storage of merchandise following company work processes.
• Ensures merchandise is presented according to practices; uses fixtures, pricing and signage.
• Maintains accurate inventory levels by controlling damages, markdowns, scanning, paperwork, and facility controls.
• Provides superior customer service leadership.
• Maintains a clean, well-organized store; supports a safe environment.
• Ensures the store is equipped with tools to perform tasks.
• Follows company policies; ensures employee compliance.
• Completes all paperwork and documentation on guidelines and deadlines.
