Job summary

My Sister’s Closet, operated by the Center for Family Violence Prevention, seeks an experienced Store Manager to lead daily retail operations, grow sales, and supervise staff and volunteers.

You will drive merchandising, budgeting, and customer service while ensuring financial accountability and strong community engagement to support domestic violence programs in Pitt, Martin, and Washington Counties.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of retail experience with supervisory or management responsibilities.
• Experience in retail operations, sales management, merchandising, and customer service.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Experience with POS systems, cash management, and financial reporting.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily store operations, ensuring a clean, organized, welcoming environment.
• Develop strategies to increase sales, profitability, and revenue goals.
• Monitor sales trends and opportunities for promotions and merchandising improvements.
• Establish pricing, product rotation, and merchandise presentation practices.
• Maintain excellent customer service and resolve concerns professionally.
• Monitor daily sales, expenses, and overall store performance.
• Ensure accurate cash handling, deposits, and financial documentation.
• Manage staffing and operating expenses within budgets.
• Prepare accurate sales and operational reports for leadership.
• Supervise, train, schedule, and support staff and volunteers.
• Provide coaching, performance feedback, and staff development.
• Oversee donation intake, sorting, pricing, and inventory processing.
