Job summary

At Home in Asheville, NC seeks a Store Manager to oversee all store operations, financial performance, and team leadership. You will drive sales, ensure an exceptional customer experience, manage staffing and scheduling, and uphold safety and compliance.

The role requires building a strong bench, coaching teammates, analyzing store metrics, and delivering results through operational excellence and a culture of teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience in a big-box and/or high-volume retail environment.
• Experience leading teams of 20+ Team Members and managing at least $5M in annual revenue or budget.
• Customer-focused mindset with a track record of delivering exceptional in-store experiences.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
• Experience utilizing task management, HRIS, and workforce scheduling systems.
• Strong communication skills, including verbal, written, and comprehension.
• Ability to inspire, drive urgency, delegate effectively, and motivate high-performing teams.
• Skilled in prioritizing, multitasking, and adapting to changing business needs.
• Proven ability to analyze data and leverage insights to drive performance.
• Proven ability to build and sustain a collaborative, engaging team culture.

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of store operations to meet sales, profit, and performance goals while delivering a customer-focused shopping experience.
• Attract, hire, and develop talent; build internal bench strength and succession plans.
• Drive coaching, training, and development to improve performance and internal career growth.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and well-presented store environment through planning and follow-up.
• Uphold operational excellence across merchandising, inventory management, safety, and customer experience.
• Lead staffing to align with labor models, scheduling, and payroll needs.
• Address Team Member and customer concerns with urgency, professionalism, and integrity.
• Utilize store scorecards and metrics to inform strategy and drive results.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and applicable laws/regulations.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe team culture and lead effective team communications.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
