Job summary

Buff City Soap is seeking a Store Manager in Dubuque, IA to lead a team and deliver Buff City experiences for clients. You will supervise staff, manage scheduling, training, and performance, while ensuring high standards of cleanliness, safety, and customer service in the makery and store.

The role requires coordinating operations, driving sales, and upholding Buff City Soap values across daily tasks. Prior management and sales experience preferred; college education is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a team in a retail/makery setting.
• Strong customer service and client experience focus.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and staffing decisions.

Responsibilities

• Developing and coaching employees to provide amazing client experiences.
• Following up swiftly on client concerns and issues.
• Directly manages makery staffing levels and operations to ensure smooth flow and brand standards.
• Maintains store conditions, cleanliness, and merchandising per Buff City Soap standards.
• Manages inventory and stock of materials and supplies.
• Ensures adherence to wage-hour laws for non-exempt staff.
