Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Store Manager Candidate to support the Store Manager in daily operations, including supervising staff, inventory control, stocking, and paperwork. The role is designed to develop an external candidate for the Store Manager position for a limited period.

Responsibilities include assisting in recruiting, merchandising, inventory and cash controls, opening/closing duties, and maintaining a safe, well-stocked store environment. Travel to nearby locations may be required.

Qualifications

• Requires reading and interpreting documents and procedures.
• Ability to perform basic math and percent calculations.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and deposit controls.
• Familiarity with IBM cash registers and reporting functions.
• Understanding of inventory management and merchandising practices.
• Knowledge of store security policies and cash controls.
