Dollar Tree in Hattiesburg, MS is seeking a Store Manager in Training who will learn to lead profitable store operations, maintain strong merchandising, placement and signage, and create an inviting atmosphere for customers and associates.

You will recruit and develop associates, oversee daily store activities, ensure compliance with laws and policies, perform opening and closing tasks, drive profit, protect assets, and uphold high customer service standards in a fast-paced, team-oriented

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years prior retail management experience preferred.
• Experience with hardlines or variety merchandise; BIG BOX experience a plus is preferred.
• Strong productivity management in freight processing is required.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.
• Must be able to lift 30 to 50 lbs from floor to above shoulder height; frequent movement required.

Responsibilities

• Recruit and hire store associates to serve our customers.
• Foster growth and development of associates through training on operations and merchandising while coaching and correcting when appropriate.
• Oversee and delegate all store activities to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Ensure full compliance with applicable laws and regulations, while enforcing company policies and procedures.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Implement operational and merchandising direction from corporate headquarters.
• Help your store reach its maximum profit contribution.
• Protect company assets.
• Maintain a high level of customer service across the store.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with professional interactions.
