Dollar Tree Stores, Inc. is seeking a Store Manager in Training in Baton Rouge, LA. You will engage in on-the-job training to manage store profitability, merchandising, placement, and signage while creating an inviting atmosphere for customers and associates.

You will recruit and develop store teams, oversee daily operations, ensure compliance, and implement directives from corporate headquarters. A strong emphasis on customer service and asset protection is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years prior retail management experience.
• Experience with hardlines or variety merchandise; BIG BOX experience a plus.
• Strong productivity management in freight processing.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Must be able to lift 30 to 50 lbs. and frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling.

Responsibilities

• Recruit and hire store associates to serve customers.
• Foster growth and development of associates through training on operations and merchandising.
• Oversee and delegate all store activities to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Ensure full compliance with laws and company policies.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Implement operational and merchandising direction from corporate HQ.
• Help store reach its maximum profit contribution.
