Dollar Tree Stores, Inc. is seeking a Store Manager in Training to develop leadership skills while learning how to run a profitable store.

You will mentor and supervise associates, oversee merchandising, floor moves, and signage, and apply company standards to create an inviting shopping environment. In this role you will recruit and train staff, ensure compliant operations, manage opening/closing procedures, and drive sales through customer service excellence.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years prior retail management experience is preferred.
• Experience with hardlines or variety merchandise; BIG BOX experience a plus is preferred.
• Strong productivity management in freight processing is required.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.
• Must be able to lift 30 to 50 lbs. and perform physical duties as needed.

Responsibilities

• Recruit and hire store associates to serve customers.
• Foster growth and development of associates through training and coaching.
• Oversee and delegate all store activities to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Ensure compliance with laws and company policies; enforce procedures.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Implement merchandising and operational direction from corporate.
• Help store reach its maximum profit contribution; protect assets.
• Maintain high level of customer service and a positive work environment.
