Job summary

Walgreens is offering an accelerated Store Manager development track designed to prepare you for a permanent role. You will learn front-end and pharmacy operations under the Store Manager, rotating through multiple stores in the area.

The program includes classroom learning, on-the-job training, and the pursuit of required licenses and PTCB certification, with guidance from district and pharmacy leadership to ensure readiness for a Store Manager assignment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 3 years retail management experience.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (Except in Puerto Rico).
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including extended days, evenings, and weekend hours.
• Willingness to accept assignment into a Store Manager position if offered.
• Willingness to transfer to Walgreens retail assets within the same hiring Area.
• PTCB Certification (preferred).
• Managerial experience with another employer in retail/store leadership.
• Ability to learn operations and compliance SOPs across front-end and pharmacy.
• Interest in developing in both retail and pharmacy management.

Responsibilities

• Oversees operation of a Walgreens store under Store Manager.
• Shadows Store Manager and learns rotation, scheduling, merchandising, and pricing tasks.
• Supports customer experience by coaching staff and resolving issues.
• Learns inventory management, asset protection, and loss prevention practices.
• Gains exposure to compliance with laws related to sale of regulated products.
