Qualifications

• Reads and interprets diagrams, safety rules, and procedures.
• Performs basic math including percentages.
• Knows cash handling procedures and deposit controls.
• Learns IBM cash register functions and report generation.
• Understands inventory management and merchandising practices.
• Familiar with deposits, keys, safes, and security practices.
• Recruiting, interviewing, hiring and compliance knowledge.
• Strong oral and written communication.
• Effective interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Ability to solve problems with limited standardization.
• May prefer bilingual Spanish speakers.

Responsibilities

• Assist in recruiting and staffing activities.
• Support merchandising and pricing according to store direction.
• Assist with inventory management, damages, markdowns and audits.
• Follow ordering practices to meet in-stock targets.
• Provide customer service leadership.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures.
• Participate in opening/closing activities.
• Ensure safe deposit of funds and cashier accountability.
• Help maintain clean, safe, well-stocked stores.
• Operate store in the manager's absence.
• Review operating statements for trends and opportunities.
• Complete paperwork within deadlines.
