Job summary

Goodwill of the San Francisco Bay is seeking a Retail Store Manager in Training (MIT) in Pittsburg, CA. The MIT will complete an intensive training program at a designated location, rotating through key roles and learning operating procedures.

Upon completion, you will transition into a full-time Store Manager with responsibility for your own store. The role focuses on people leadership, financial management, inventory control, donation processing, and customer service, with potential for

Qualifications

• Two years’ work experience in retail management, preferably thrift.
• One year of customer service experience.
• Understanding of financial metrics, reporting, and budget management.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• English reading and speaking proficiency.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops and executes store operations plans to meet income, revenue, and production targets.
• Lead and develop Store Team Members, including Assistant Store Manager and Production Team.
• Monitor payroll and operating costs against budget.
• Ensure excellent customer service to donors and customers.
• Maintain store appearance and brand standards across locations.
• Coordinate with district leadership to optimize donations and staffing.
