Job summary

maurices is seeking a Manager in Training (MIT) to work with the store team toward sales targets and excellent customer service. The MIT will participate in a structured training program designed to prepare for a Store Manager position within 3–6 months and may relocate to a specific store or group of stores.

The role requires leadership, hiring experience, and the ability to manage schedules, payroll, and visual standards while delivering a great customer experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; a business or retail merchandising degree preferred.
• Supervisory experience required in a customer focused environment; experience in the fashion industry preferred.
• Proven track record of achieving and setting goals and executing company direction.
• Experience in hiring, promoting, and motivating talent.
• Proven ability to lead by example, make sound decisions, and demonstrate professionalism.
• Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills.
• Diligence and the ability to persevere in the face of resistance or setbacks.
• Must commit to a specific store location or a group of new and existing stores.
